Dieser Bau ist insofern interessant, da sich hier ein Neubau von 1976 direkt als Anbau in ein historisches Ackerbürgerhaus von 1880 „schiebt“. Zur Erbauungszeit des Ackerbürgerhauses muss man sich diesen Bereich noch völlig anders vorstellen.
Jahrhundertelang war hier der Ort zu Ende, und etwa in Höhe der Kreuzung befand sich das Jacobitor aus dem 14. Jhdt. Da es sich hierbei wie bei den anderen Osteroder Toren um mehrere einzelne Torabschnitte handelte, gab es hier eine so bezeichnete Torgasse. Von dieser Torgasse befinden sich noch Mauerreste in Nähe der Apotheke, und zwar auf beiden Straßenseiten. Später änderte sich hier das Stadtbild ein wenig mit Pförtner- sowie Torschreiber-Haus, aber noch von 1827 gibt es den Bericht, dass „unter der Kirchenzeit“ (Gottesdienst in St. Jacobi) das Tor versperrt war (und sich „gegen ein Lösegeld“ öffnete…). 1829 wurde zwecks Straßenverbreiterung das Tor abgerissen, und 1832 befand sich etwa an der Stelle der heutigen Apotheke ein Torwärterhaus.
Das Ackerbürgerhaus wurde 1880 errichtet als traufständiger Eckbau, freistehend, erbaut für Ackerbürger Wilhelm Bierkamp. Es handelt sich um einen zweigeschossigen, zweistöckigen, verbretterten Fachwerkbau auf niedrigem Fundsteinsockel; teilunterkellert und mit Vorgarten vor dem Hauptgebäude. Die Traufseite an der Jacobitorstraße ist bestimmt durch ein dreigeschossiges Zwerchhaus, welches risalitartig vorspringt. Auf dem Dach der Hausrückseite befindet sich ebenfalls ein Zwerchhaus.
1976 ersetzte man einen älteren Anbau durch den Apotheken-Neubau. Dieser ist ein Massivbau auf niedrigem Sockel, 1 ½ geschossig (sog. Drempelgeschoss) mit dortiger Verbretterung sowie Satteldach; nicht unterkellert. Der Eingangsbereich zeigt ein Schaufenster sowie einen Windfang.
Das Haus ist gebaut worden als Wohnhaus, wurde aber längere Zeit genutzt als Wohn- und Geschäftshaus.
