Lassen Sie sich begeistern! Über 20 Fachwerkhäuser, Locations und Denkmäler verwandeln sich an acht Tagen in Ateliers und Galerien von etwa 60 bildenden Künstlern. Die Künstler empfangen Sie als Besucher in außergewöhnlichen Gebäuden mit z.B. Malerei, Bildhauerei, Fotografie und verschiedenstem Kunsthandwerk.

Weitere Gebäude und Plätze verwandeln sich mit Konzerten verschiedenster Musikgenre, Lesungen, Theater und Kleinkunst in lebendige und außergewöhnliche Veranstaltungsorte.

Eine Initiative von über 30 engagierten Osteroder Bürgerinnen und Bürgern möchte unter dem Namen DenkmalKunst-KunstDenkmal 2019 ein erfolgreiches Kulturevent neu auflegen.

DenkmalKunst-KunstDenkmal 2019 präsentiert darstellende wie bildende Künste in Räumen mit Fachwerkcharakter direkt in der Altstadt Osterode. Es wird anspruchsvolle Kunst und Kultur für eine Woche in das Stadtbild und damit auch in den Alltag einziehen.

Neben der Kunst steht beim DKKD-Festival das Fachwerk im Fokus. Leerstehende Häuser werden erlebbar und können einmal aus einer völlig neuen Perspektive betrachtet werden.

Zur Finanzierung des Festivals bauen die ehrenamtlichen Organisatoren auf finanzielle Unterstützung Osteroder Unternehmen als Sponsoren, der Stadtverwaltung sowie Bürgerinnen und Bürgern. Zusätzlich wurden Fördergelder beantragt.

Mit dem Festival DenkmalKunst-KunstDenkmal 2019 steigern wir die kulturelle Attraktivität und die Außendarstellung unserer Stadt. Zukunftsorientiert setzen wir auch auf Nachhaltigkeit. Wir wollen die Kulturarbeit in der Stadt in eine beständige Form bringen und eine nachhaltige und lebendige Struktur für Osterode schaffen!

Kunst und Kultur sollen auf den städtebaulichen Wert unserer historischen Altstadt verweisen, die für eine zeitgemäße Nutzung angepasst und brauchbar gemacht werden muss.
Kunst und Kultur dienen im Sinne des Wortes als Türöffner „entnutzter“ Gebäude mit dem Ziel, ihren Gebrauchs- und tatsächlichen Nutzwert deutlich werden zu lassen.
Kunst und Kultur erfüllen schließlich auch immer einen eigenständigen Zweck.

Offizieller Veranstalter des DenkmalKunst-KunstDenkmal 2019 ist der Verein Fachwerk-Kultur Osterode am Harz e.V. Das zentrale Anliegen des Vereins ist als Nachfolger des Vereins zur Rettung des Thörmerschen Hauses der Erhalt von Fachwerkgebäuden in Osterode am Harz sowie das Beleben der Innenstadt durch kulturelle Angebote.
