Die Stra\u00dfe Am Schilde war im Mittelalter eine der <\/span>Hauptstra\u00dfen<\/span> Osterodes, welche direkt auf das Rathaus zulief. Sie war wohl schon immer breiter als andere Stra\u00dfen, was die Bedeutung unterstreicht.<\/span><\/p>\n

Auf dem besagten Grundst\u00fcck ist seit dem 16. Jh. ein Hausbesitzer erw\u00e4hnt, und im 18. Jh. waren zwei Mitglieder der bekannten Osteroder Familie Schachtrupp Besitzer. Nach einem Gro\u00dffeuer <\/span>1826<\/span> wiederaufgebaut, lebte hier 1836 Tierarzt Wiese erneut nach 1824, gefolgt von Seilermeister, Sattlermeister sowie im 20. Jh. Installateur bzw. Schneidermeister.<\/span><\/p>\n

Interessanterweise wurde dieses Haus nach dem Brand 1826 etwa 2 m nach hinten verschoben, so dass heute die <\/span>Stra\u00dfenfluchtlinie<\/span> ab hier nach hinten verspringt. Dadurch entstand der windfangartige Eingang beim Nachbarhaus Nr. 17 aus dem 16. Jh.<\/span><\/p>\n

Das Haus Nr. 15 ist <\/span>teilunterkellert<\/span>. <\/span><\/p>\n
