Anstelle des heutigen Geb\u00e4udes Scheffelstra\u00dfe 14, Stadtbibliothek, stand bis zu einem Gro\u00dfbrand 1826 ein Schachtrupp-Wohnhaus. 1809 hatte Johann Friedrich Schachtrupp, Fabrikgr\u00fcnder und Villa-Erbauer, im Hof ein Hintergeb\u00e4ude angelegt. Im gemauerten EG liegen Stall\/Scheune, und im Fachwerk-OG gibt es damals eine <\/span>Dienstboten-Unterkunft<\/span>; wohl als einziges Beispiel in Osterode. 1908, zur Zeit der H\u00f6heren T\u00f6chterschule im Haupthaus (Stadtbibliothek), vermutet man weitere Bewohnung durch z. B. die Hausmeisterin. Generell bewohnt wird das Haus bis in die 1990er Jahre.<\/span><\/p>\n

Auff\u00e4llig sind die kleinen <\/span>Gipssteinchen<\/span> in den EG-Fugen als Schmuckwerk. Au\u00dferdem erkennt man den Inschriftenstein: \u201eG. H. B. 1827\u201c f\u00fcr Georg Heinrich Blum, der 1827 das Nachfolgehaupthaus erbaut. Zur Stra\u00dfe Am Posthof befindet sich im EG ein gro\u00dfes, Segmentbogen \u00fcberfangenes Fenster mit der Inschrift: \u201eJohann Friedrich Schachtrupp \u2013 Berghandels-Ober-Factor \u2013 neu erbauet \u2013 im Jahre 1809.\u201c Der <\/span>Gew\u00f6lbekeller<\/span> zieht sich als Gangkeller bis hin zur Scheffelstra\u00dfe und zeigt noch einige Lichtnischen f\u00fcr Talglichter o. \u00e4.<\/span><\/p>\n
