\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0 <\/span>Das Grundst\u00fcck ist bis zu einem Brand 1826 im Besitz der Fabrikanten-Familie <\/span>Schachtrupp<\/span> (vgl. \u201eHintergeb\u00e4ude\u201c). Anstelle von zwei abgebrannten H\u00e4usern errichtete hier 1827 <\/span>Berghandlungsfaktor Blum<\/span> sein Haus. Das Haus ist freistehend, aus <\/span>Brandschutzgr\u00fcnden<\/span> mit Bauwich zu beiden Seiten. Es handelt sich um einen Fachwerkbau mit Zwerchhaus stra\u00dfenseitig. <\/span>Teilunterkellert<\/span> mit <\/span>Gew\u00f6lbe-Keller<\/span>; Zugang vom Hof. Der obere T\u00fcrsturz ist dicht \u00fcber der Erdoberfl\u00e4che noch erkennbar. Zudem wird das Haus durch einen Teil des langgestreckten <\/span>Gangkellers<\/span> des <\/span>Hintergeb\u00e4udes<\/span> unterquert.\u00a0 <\/span>–\u00a0 <\/span>Wohl aus der Erbauungszeit stammt die <\/span>Biedermeiert\u00fcr<\/span> an der Seite zu Nr. 16.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0 <\/span>Der Erbauer <\/span>Georg Heinrich Blum<\/span> ist Kaufmann aus Northeim, ab 1813\u00a0 <\/span>Administrator beim Oberfactor Johann Friedrich <\/span>Schachtrupp<\/span>; sp\u00e4ter Berghandlungsfactor und Fabrikant, Erbauer der Blum`schen Tuchfabrik, \u2020 1865.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0 <\/span>Erste Parochialschulen auch f\u00fcr M\u00e4dchen gab es bereits im 16. Jh., sp\u00e4ter B\u00fcrgerm\u00e4dchenschulen. 1830 gr\u00fcndeten Apotheker Borntr\u00e4ger und <\/span>Berghandlungsfaktor Blum<\/span> die <\/span>H\u00f6here T\u00f6chterschule<\/span> im Eckhaus Scheffel-\/Marktstra\u00dfe. Unterrichtet wurde Lesen, Religion, Recht- und Sch\u00f6nschreiben, Geschichte, Geografie, Mythologie, Singen, Franz\u00f6sisch, N\u00e4hen, Stricken und sonstige Handarbeiten.\u00a0 <\/span>Die Gr\u00fcndung aus Privatinitiative ist ein Zeichen des <\/span>Bildungsb\u00fcrgertums<\/span> im 19. Jhdt. <\/span>1908<\/span> zog die H\u00f6here T\u00f6chterschule aus den vorherigen Schulr\u00e4umen im Schachtrupp-Palais um in das Blum\u2019sche Wohnhaus. Wohl war das Haus in st\u00e4dtischem Besitz, die Schule selbst war trotzdem immer noch eine private. –\u00a0 <\/span>Im Dachgeschoss gab es ein durchlaufendes Fensterband, da sich hier der Zeichensaal befand. Zwar wurden Jungen und M\u00e4dchen gemeinsam unterrichtet, aber getrennt: die M\u00e4dchen sa\u00dfen auf den hinteren B\u00e4nken. <\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0 <\/span>Aus dieser H\u00f6heren T\u00f6chterschule wurde eine <\/span>st\u00e4dtische M\u00e4dchenschule<\/span> und aus dieser 1930 das <\/span>Luisen-Lyceum<\/span>.\u00a0 <\/span>–\u00a0 <\/span>W\u00e4hrend der NS-Zeit gab es in der Oberstufe f\u00fcr M\u00e4dchen einen sprachlichen und einen hauswirtschaftlichen Zweig. Im letzteren stand der Dienst \u201eals Mutter\u201c und f\u00fcr die \u201eVolksgemeinschaft\u201c im Vordergrund. Daher wurden ab jetzt Jungen und M\u00e4dchen getrennt erzogen, damit den \u201eAnlagen und Aufgaben der M\u00e4dchen in Familie und Beruf\u201c besser Rechnung getragen werden kann.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0 <\/span>1958 gab es hier im EG eine <\/span>B\u00fccherausleihe<\/span>, 1959 kam die <\/span>Volkshochschule<\/span> Osterode e. V. dazu. 1971 wurde das Geb\u00e4ude durch die damals sog. <\/span>Sonderschule<\/span> erg\u00e4nzt, und 1976 erfolgte der Umbau zur <\/span>Stadtb\u00fccherei<\/span>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
