Am Schilde 19 Was heute aussieht wie ein modernes Gegenst\u00fcck zu dem sp\u00e4tmittelalterlichen Fachwerkbau mit Toreinfahrt als direkter Nachbar, entpuppt sich in Wirklichkeit als ein Geb\u00e4ude mit zwei \u201eDoppelhaush\u00e4lften\u201c<\/i>. Genauer: Urspr\u00fcnglich bildet Nr. 19 zusammen mit Nr. 17 ein einziges Baugrundst\u00fcck, wohl bereits seit den 1530er Jahren. Sp\u00e4testens nach dem Stadtbrand 1545 wird es 1556 gleichzeitig mit zwei H\u00e4usern von Hans Niemeier neu bebaut. Wohl gegen 1589 ist ein C. Dortmunden der letzte, der Nr. 17 und Nr. 19 gemeinsam besitzt\/bewohnt. \u2013 Auf jeden Fall ist Nr. 19 seinerzeit wohl eine Art \u201eZwilling\u201c zu Nr. 17, ebenfalls mit Sonnenrosen (F\u00e4cherrosetten) und Tor. Schmuck und Balkenlage haben direkten Anschluss an das Nachbarhaus, woraus man schlie\u00dfen kann, dass beide H\u00e4user urspr\u00fcnglich eine Einheit bilden. Auch der abgeschnittene Halbkreis von Nr. 17, der pl\u00f6tzlich an der Fassade von Nr. 19 endet, weist darauf hin, dass sich dieser in einer Linie seinerzeit auf der Fassade von Nr. 19 fortsetzt. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Besitzer bzw. Bewohner sind seit dem 17. Jh. ein Glasermeister, ein Sattlermeister und Ratsherr, ein Ratskellerwirt, Zeugmacher Dameral (Mitglied einer sp\u00e4ter in Osterode bedeutenden Tuchfabrikantenfamilie), mehrere Schuster sowie 1797 Stadtwachtmeister Jean Louis Sanchee aus dem franz\u00f6sischen Languedoc.<\/p>\n In den 1960er Jahren moderner Umbau in ein Optikerfachgesch\u00e4ft (w\u00e4hrend dessen o. g. Schmuckelemente wiederentdeckt wurden); zugleich entstehen moderne Wohneinheiten. Weitere Modernisierung seit den 1980er Jahren. Mittlerweile Leerstand der Ladenfl\u00e4che.
